Teeth whitening

At-home teeth whitening is just as effective as in-clinic whitening—and it’s very safe. After performing a check-up, cleaning your teeth and repairing any cavities, we’ll make an impression of your teeth that will be used to manufacture your custom trays. Then, simply follow the dentist’s tips and instructions to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home.

Tips for at-home whitening:

  • Brush and floss your teeth before putting on the trays
  • Add whitening gel so that it fills about one third of the front part of the tray
  • Keep the trays on for as long as indicated by the dentist
  • Remove the trays once the time is up and rinse them well. Clean the trays gently with a toothbrush to avoid tearing them
  • Avoid foods that can stain, such as red wine, blueberries, tomato sauce, coffee, cola, etc. Do not smoke during the treatment
  • During the teeth whitening treatment, your teeth and gums may become sensitive—this is normal. If the sensitivity is intolerable, stop the treatment for one or two days. If the pain persists, contact your dentist
  • The final result can vary and will depend on several factors. For best results, increase the frequency and amount of time that the peroxide is applied. In some cases, the process could take several months
